To help make legal services more accessible, Burgos Law uses LawPay as our secure payment processor for legal fees. Through LawPay, eligible clients may also have access to flexible payment options through LawPay’s Pay Later, powered by Affirm, which allows qualifying clients to finance their legal fees and make manageable monthly payments over time. This option can provide greater flexibility in paying legal fees while allowing us to move forward with your case without unnecessary delays.

  2. Inform our team that you want to pay your legal fees using the Pay Later payment option.

  3. Receive your engagement agreement and invoice for legal fees.

  4. Choose the Pay Later option during the payment process.

  5. Apply through Affirm in just a few minutes.

  6. If approved, select the payment plan that works best for your budget.

  7. We receive payment so we can begin working on your case right away.

Who provides the financing?

Financing is offered through Affirm as part of LawPay’s Pay Later program. Burgos Law does not make lending decisions.

No. Financing is subject to an eligibility review by Affirm.

If approved for Affirm financing, your APR may range from 0% to 36%, depending on your eligibility. Available repayment terms are 3, 6, 12, 18, or 24 months. You’ll be able to review the options available to you before selecting your financing plan. There are no late fees, giving you added flexibility when managing your payments.

Yes. Once financing is approved and completed, the firm receives the full invoiced amount upfront so we work on your case can begin without waiting for installment payments.

Affirm gives you the flexibility to pay for your legal services over time rather than paying the full amount upfront. If you qualify, you can review the available payment options and choose a plan that works best for your budget. Please note that Affirm financing is available only to individual customers and cannot be used by businesses or other entities for commercial purposes.

Your first payment is generally due about one month after your payment is processed. Depending on your eligibility and the amount of your loan, you may be asked to make a down payment at the time of purchase. Your specific payment schedule will be provided when you complete the financing process.

Yes! You can pay off your Affirm financing early at any time, and there is no penalty for paying off your loan early. This gives you the flexibility to pay your balance ahead of schedule if your budget allows.

Your installment payments are made directly to Affirm, not to Burgos Law. You can make or schedule payments through your Affirm account on their website or through the Affirm mobile app. Your loan agreement will include additional details about your payment schedule and terms.

Affirm requires a U.S. or U.S. territory mobile number to help verify your identity and confirm that you are the person creating and accessing the account. This is part of Affirm’s account security and verification process.

Affirm financing works differently from a traditional credit card. Instead of providing a revolving line of credit, Affirm approves you for a specific amount to borrow and allows you to choose from available repayment terms. Your payment schedule is set based on the financing option you select, and there is no penalty for paying off your loan early. Affirm loans also do not charge compound interest.

No. You are not required to use Affirm to pay for your legal services. Affirm is simply one payment option your attorney may offer. If you prefer, you can ask Burgos Law about other available payment methods that may work better for you.
